This jaw dropping film, made about the many wonderful reasons to travel Greyhound, is just about the corniest thing this side of Kansas. Centered around this very flimsy love story between a cowboy and a very uptight female traveller, this movie has it all. Overt sexism, double entendres, BAD process shots, Grehounds the only availible transport in the whole universe (they're the only thing on the road it seems) and much much more! It's perfectly obvious that the actors didn't step out of the soundstage for this one, and to top it all off, we get all the actors SINGING AT THE END! A screwball…

How lustrous did life seem in simpler times when advertisers kept the keys from the general public's unexamined technicolor dreams. If Mystery Science Theater 3000 hadn't lampooned this film, it should have had.

I'm a San Antonio native myself so I was pleasantly surprised to come across this clip. Really cool concept for greyhound buses and I can see how groundbreaking they would be at the time. It's wild to think this was all before the world's fair in '68 because I almost didn't recognize my city without the Tower of America in the skyline. I also had never seen the riverwalk like that before which was cool! Regarding the grass and trees AND the casual canoes lol. 40 years ago, I rode the “ dog “ for pleasure travel and destinations. It was actually very cool..you observed the land firsthand..experienced the difference in regions in food and interface..weather changes..and scenery. Folks were for the most part mannered and pleasant. Experienced many states with the cost relatively low for that much travel. Imagine that.
