This a beautifully filmed home movie taken by two young men on what appears to be two separate vacation trips to Europe in the 1935/36 time frame (judging by the cars). The first trip takes them in the summer to the Mediterranean (Gibralter, Sicily, Rome, Nice) then on to Geneva, Cologne, Belgium, Bruges and Paris. Finally, to London and Oxford where they do a bike tour. They return to America aboard the Queen Mary and there are a few shots of Rockefeller Center. While certainly shot by tourists, it's a very interesting look at the sights of pre-war Europe. I enjoyed it very much and recommend it to anyone interested in a frank depiction of Europe in the 1930s.
