Home movie: 098586: Europe tourism early 1950s

Lovely little trip (well, this reel IS 40 minutes so..) going from New York, and shipping out to Europe! The first 1/4 is dedicated to the ship ride, starting in New York, and a brief visit to (presumably) the United Nations.. we don't see the building, but just the flowers there. We then hop on the ship, wave goodbye to the people below and we're off! I must stress again that 1950s cruise ship travelling is WAY different than 2020 cruise ship travelling. Your only entertainment seems to be shuffleboard on the deck. The people do make do though, and probably had a lovely time. Soon enough…
