Great color footage here of classic animated signage of Times Square. There are several clues to the date of this film. The movies on the marquees are from 1952 & 1953. The one advertising first films of the Japan air crash probably refers to the Tachikawa air disaster of June 18, 1953 where a USAF C-124 crashed killing 129. It was the world's second worst air crash at that time. So, I'm betting this film was shot in early summer 1953.
