This little film though shot in the middle of WWII has no reference to the war beyond having Noah Beery Jr. play a sailor home on leave and as the love interest to teen-age former child actress Ann Gillis now all grown up and zoftic as well. Therefore, it was re-released several times into the 50's and made a ton of money both in theatres and on television. Danny (Bobby Jordan) is taking the frame for a murder and it's up to Leo Gorcey and company to solve the crime which eventually they do in their own style. It's small time crime and small scale comedy but a film worth seeing again. 40's…
