Among the cast of this film we find Szőke Szakáll (known subsequently as S.Z. Sakall in Hollywood). He fled Germany when the Nazis came to power, only to be forced to flee once again from his native Hungary in 1940 when his homeland fell under Nazi domination. He then enjoyed a long film career in the United States in supporting, usually comic, roles. Many of Szakall's close relatives were murdered in Nazi concentration camps, including all three of his sisters and a niece, as well as his wife's brother and sister.
