The Silent Guest is a 1945 German crime film directed by Harald Braun and starring René Deltgen, Gisela Uhlen and Rudolf Fernau. It was one of the final films released during the Nazi era. It received its Austrian premiere in Vienna in 1950.

The director of this production, Harald Braun, was also responsible for the notorious Nazi screen adaptation of Ibsen's "A Doll's House" entitled "Nora". That film substituted the play's original ending with the officially sanctioned German one, in which Nora and her husband reunite and their domestic bliss is unaccountably restored. It also features newly introduced antisemitic material in keeping with the racist policy of the state.
