Synopsis
Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye is a 1950 film noir starring James Cagney, directed by Gordon Douglas, produced by William Cagney and based on the novel by Horace McCoy. The film was banned in Ohio as "a sordid, sadistic presentation of brutality and an extreme presentation of crime with explicit steps in commission."

Cagney the glib, psychopathic killer is paired tolerably enough with naive girl gone bad Barbara Payton, but not with self-assured society heiress Helena Carter (or her oddly and abruptly inconsistent father), whose role seems implausible and more a puzzling distraction than a help to the story line. Other cast members are fine but can't repair the dramatic breach.
