Reds withdraw Cut down troops in east Germany Military observers from western allied headquarters in Brandenbourg to witness a token withdrawal of red forces from east Germany, part of an overall reduction of one million two hundred thousand troops announced by Russia as part of it's disarmament proposals. American officers are particularly interested in the evacuation as Russian photographers swarm about the scene, fully aware of the propaganda value of the gesture.
