Terrific noir, femme fatale, and man along for the ride of his life. I can't believe I've not seen Crime of Passion before starring Barbara Stanwyck and Sterling Hayden. Hayden is great; in character roles, however, this is the first time I've seen him in a leading role - and he's excellent a good, smart, devoted everyday man - with a surprising strength. Stanwyck, a familiar role as an intelligent, handsome, ambitious woman caught in circumstances she's determined to change.
