Johnny Carson was a mainstay in my parents home (as he hosted The Tonight Show) and grandparents' home as we visited during the summer and could stay awake to watch him. He did the commercial straight but you can tell he wanted to have his own comedic way. Don't think GF (General Foods) would have liked it though. Wow! I am getting old (almost 50!) to remember JELLO's originators! Love retro TV! =)

Wow, I miss him on the Tonight Show. He was just so funny and actually cared about his audience.
