It was pretty funny to hear Robert Moses describe the main purpose of the fair was for "education" then he adds that they needed to include that in their proposals because it meant a tax break. It seems the main purpose was to get federal funding to upgrade NYC's arterial infrastructure. Lead on, Moses.
