A Frith farm film with horsies and moo-moo-cows, all of whom have names. Calling one horse "Black Mammy" is really unfortunate. Anyway, we learn how to groom and shoe a horse, that a horse needs a dog companion, and colts drink horse milk once an hour. As usual, narrator Don McNamara talks to the animals. Of course, he's not there as he's reading a script over MOS footage, but maybe the young audience liked it. The film opens with a cuckoo clock and birds chirping.
