Likely made in the 1930s, the time-lapse photography still holds up. There are also close-up scenes of a bee on petals, and the story of how a pea plant grows. It sounds like the filmmakers grabbed a scientist out of a lab to do narration in one take. This guy is not a professional. There's a bit of cut-out animation in this film, too.
