That film was based the 1937 Finnish play and film Juurakon Hulda by Hella Wuolijoki, using the pen name Juhani Tervapää. note.in the big sultan little sultan episode of 'the farmer's daughter',the sultan's son was.believe it or not,portrayed by james douglas,the actor who played steven cord on the classic 60s soap 'peyton place'.when i saw his name in the end credits,i was surprised.my mother watched 'peyton place' when i was younger back in the 1960s and i've seen the show on youtube.he is a wonderful actor!
