Synopsis
Is both documentary and parody of model train hobby enthusiast. Beginning with a history lesson for the model train hobby and then transitioning into a how-to film on creating one's own model train fantasy layout, the film takes a turn as the lead character becomes fully engulfed in the fantasy world of model railroading. Between a full-on dancing girls extravaganza to an "edge of your seat" action film, the film proves that playing with trains is a form of pure escapism for kids of every age.

I'm quite familiar with the interstate's passage through this structure's one-time location and the surrounding local roads and topography. It's saddening that local historians/preservationists didn't fight to force the federal government to bridge over the building's grounds so as to save the former depot and, concurrently, the wonderful O-scale model railroad layout contained within. Model Railroading is a awesome hobby. The creation factor coupled with building your own unique landscapes/layouts is really satisfying and mechanically pleasing. From my first Christmas box opening when a child, to adult layouts..always a joy. And I have noticed that the folks who put it down and denigrate the hobby? are simply jealous and lack the skill to put two pieces of track together let alone construct their own virtual mechanical world.
