Synopsis
Reel one of seven. In 1930, Marshall Field III went on a private game hunting expedition to Africa with his wife Audrey Evelyn James Coats (also known as Audrey Evelyn James Coats Field Pleydell-Bouverie). Marshall Field III obtained several lion specimens from the expedition. This film records the African hunting expedition including the animals encountered on the trip. It was donated to the museum by Audrey Evelyn James Coats. 16mm, b/w, silent, 7 reels-pos., app. 2300 ft
