This Jam Handy production for Chevrolet has one of the flimsier premises. It starts out as a salute to dogs and how they serve human beings in various ways. Then it segues to a story about a kid with a dog cart and how he and his buddies adapt the cart for better speed and performanceÃÂÃÂthe finished cart looks incredibly silly. All this is supposed to have something to do with how great Chevrolets are but the connection is really stretching it. It must have been a slow idea day at Jam Handy when they came up with this one. a fairly entertaining film, has excellent footage of dogs, and the dogs look really cute. comparing dogs to chevrolets is a bit of a stretch (but then, both the dogs and the chevrolets look really nice), but overall this is a good film.it's a little slow at one point near the end, but dont let that turn you off this film. p.s. that go-cart was simply awful, but that dosent ruin this fairly good film

Something's up. The usual Jam Handy narrator without deadened walls in his voice booth is going on and on about dogs. But what's the point? Ah, the script slowly eases us into the trap. Dogs with "quick acceleration"? "Power and economy, fast getaway with speed and safety"? Hmmm. That sounds more like... Wait. Now kids are building Joe a dog-powered wagon because his old one doesn't have "style, comfort and safety." His new one has springs, a steering wheel, a steamlined body." Why look! The first part of the film is good when it strictly shows dogs, then it gets ridiculous when it starts comparing dogs to a car. Obviously, the major purpose of this production was to praise the automobile. The goal of achieving this was silly and deceiving.
