these films are part of a series released to DVD that is of mostly the same subject; Gladiators of Rome. The movie is not the best but is not nearly as bad as you think. An evil Regent rules a province after the death of it's King, since the King's sister and young child cannot rule. gladiators fight in an arena and one likable chap in a fit of defiance hurls his sword at The Evil Regent but instead kills an assassin that JUST HAPPENS to be attacking the Regent, looking like a hero. He is promoted with his friend to the royal guard where they chase a band of outlaws that turn out to be led by…
