When "This Is Darin" and "Darin At The Copa" came out in 1960 my older brother bought them and they became the first two "adult" albums I love. Darin was a great person as well as a great artist. He admired Bobby Kennedy so much that he didn't perform for a long time after the Senator was murdered. He was part of Kennedy's West Coast campaign entourage in 1968 and, at R.F.K.'s request, taught him Dylan's "Blowing In the Wind" shortly before his assassination on the night he won the California primary that almost certainly would have made him president.
