Mrs Porter (in a fab flip do) is disgusted! Dissgusted I tell you by not having a ketchup bottle that doesn't pour correctly! The narrator suggests the next best thing, New Bounty paper towels that, in a bit of false advertising, sucks it up.. like magic! Then, in a SUSPICIOUS demonstration that shows a towel just SUCKING up ketchup, we see the towel in action! Mrs Porter uh, sure also likes the way it feels too. (Note the euphoria on her face), she likes how strong it is too! Soon, the Porters are stocking their shelves sky high with brand new Bounty! A MUST SEE!

This pre-Rosie Bounty commercial features an extremely stupid married couple and an incredible special effect that makes it look like spills will actually jump off the table into the paper towel if you just wave it over it. After being thoroughly amazed by this, and way too amused by the sound the paper towel makes when you snap it back and forth, the couple puts away a bunch of rolls of Bounty, blissfully unaware that their storage shelf is also a windowsill. That darn ketchup! Whenever will it go where it's aimed? Highlights of this advert are the paper towel-hoarding scene and the beatific smile of Mrs Porter as she feels the "six-ingredient" goodness of new Bounty.

1. This commercial is truely timeless. As late as the mid-1990's, I was still seeing commercials almost exactly the same as this for various Paper Towel products. 2. This commercial works on a International level, in the sense that this commercial is American, and I'm from another English-speaking country, and as noted above, this exact same type of commercial was still being done where I live decades after this aired. 3.
