Synopsis

In 54 B.C. Julius Caesar seeks to solidify his position in Rome by putting down a rebellion in Gaul led by a tribal chieftain named Vercingetorix. Vercingetorix has rallied many tribes to his cause, including one led by the beautiful Queen Asterid and others who'd once pledged allegiance to Rome.

Yes, this film is adventurous and it is action packed, but it is something else: boring. The acting was dull and not convincing. I like films in historical settings very much so I watched the whole movie and was slightly entertained at times but I was happy that I had something to do aside so I won´t go asleep. As for historical accuracy: Forget what this film tells you about the battle of Alesia. It is all wrong except that Caesar won and Vercingetorix lost. (Not to be misunderstood: I do not expect historical accuracy of films like this.)
