No special effects or fake dialogue here, just a gritty fight movie about an underdog making good as a boxer but lacking the empathy to keep his brother as his friend or the love of his life by his side. Douglas does as good a job here as Stallone in Rocky. As a matter of fact, I think Stallone borrowed ideas from this flick when writing his Rocky script.
