OK, folks, Ive put up with the animal abuse in this series. Ive put up with stuffing dogs in trunks. Ive put up with dressing monkeys in humiliating costumes. Ive even put up with them capturing a grand old sea turtle and tormenting it before killing it for its hide. But now Chevrolet has gone too fartheyve taken an innocent cow and started it smoking! And then they milk her and feed the milk to children! Forget PETAcall out the Surgeon General for this one! Oh, and they also have silly stories about a parade honoring the school safety patrol, a guy who trades in his buggy for a new Chevrolet…

Final film in the 4 series.. seems to pick up on the narration.. great title cards.. features: A parade about yes, road safety. This being 1938, it always amazes me to see people celebrating the most mundane things, Next spot features another man switching his horseless carriage for a vehicle. This is similar to the story of a man switching his old car for a new one in an earlier Leader news. It seems to me that in the latter years of the Leader News films, that they tried to "smarten" them up a bit, as we are having stories dealing with natural problems, in this case looking for oil. But…
