Maybe because this ran opposite Howdy Doody or my brother was too old for this program anyway (which was aimed at 3 to 4 yr olds) we almost never watched this. Miss Frances had a slightly grouchy appearance and at times, her manner as well. My cousin was a fan though and actually had a Ding Dong School bell on his dresser. I know a relative of the original organist which for a spell also played on Kukla Fran & Ollie ('til she got into it with Fran Allison).
