Synopsis
While the Battle of the Atlantic that took place during WWII is well known, the struggle to get troops, man and supplies to Europe from the USA during World War I was also momentous. German U-boats took a frightening toll on American ships, and their brazen raids are in fact one of the key reasons America declared war on Germany and its allies.
