and nothing else in the opening and closing.. then at the end of each the cops all marching like storm troopers which is probably why they got such a bad rap and acting like storm troopers doesn't exactly help their cause. I like this series, but have much contempt for certain members of the police, but not all by any means...mainly those who think their badge is a god given right to harass and abuse whoever they chose which is why i found the ending scene with them marching so offensive.. it's used as an intimidation tactic as much as it is for discipline.. i did my own share of marching…

This is cool radio-style docudrama,even before they knew what to call it.

Though the shows have good acting, I prefer the radio version. Low budget forced the TV producers to use the same handful of cars in every episode. Thus Van Meter, partner of Dillinger in the mid-30s, is driving the same 1947 Cadillac Series 75 limousine that all the gangsters in all the episodes drive. And the cops attacking Dillinger in '34 are driving '52 Fords and Nashes. Also, the cars after crashes or explosions are always different from the pre-crash cars. A Ford rolls down a hill and miraculously turns into a Packard Clipper! These annoying things don't happen in my mind when I listen…
