★★★ · What Can You Say About Dried Fruit? · Dodsworth the Cat · 2023-11-19

After a really bad impression of Ned Sparks, we get to hear the voice of the sun, with great care in diction, explaining how he helps makes fruit ripe before those fine people at Del Monte turned it into dried fruit. The bad impression and a perky woman pop up to provide comic relief commentary. I like how a fish bowl is "the briny deep." Oh, well. You can expect silly rhetoric in an advertising film. The direction is good, with lots of varied MOS shots of how fruit goes from trees to packages.
