It is too bad about the film reversal, it made reading signs very difficult. This was about the 'colonists', a group of people from the Midwest who the government brought to the Matanuska Valley to develop farms. Many didn’t succeed, but some did, and their sons and grandsons have successful farms there. A very interesting look at our early Alaskan agricultural history.

Not a home movie, but the second reel of a film about Alaska (without a soundtrack alas). Very good shots of old time Alaska.. too bad about the image reversal. The great shots of the town make up for it though! Love the boardwalk feel and the store fronts!
