I find this to be a fine little home movie; it's nice to see shots done by someone who knows how to hold a camera and how to pan - in contrast to much of the home video shot today. Touring the USA in a car in 1946 would have been quite a bit more of an adventure than it is now, as this is years before Eisenhower's interstate system was built. Lovely shots of parts of California; the color on the film is quite nice and I especially enjoyed the footage of Oregon's Crater Lake.
