Synopsis

En route to Thebes for an important diplomatic mission, Hercules drinks from a magic spring and loses his memory. He spends most of the movie in the pleasure gardens of Queen Omphale of Lydia. While young Ulysses tries to help him regain his memory, political tensions escalate in Thebes, and Hercules' new wife Iole finds herself in mortal danger.

Reeves was a fair actor and an inspiration for many young boys of my age. One of the best Hercules of the era and a very entertaining film...incidentally, the giant that played the son of the earth god on the road was Primo Carnera who has a fair boxing career as a scary giant until he ran into a really 'good' boxer called Max Baer who almost 'murdered him'. A young Joe Louis also beat him.

WebWizurd is right. The film's start where the film Hercules leaves off and even explains in the first scene some of the action of the last film. 4 stars for sandal and sand epics and 5 stars for nostlgia( saw it when it first came out)

Oh man, I can remember watching this on Saturday afternoons! The acting is awful, the effects so so but I LOVED IT (and I'm not gay, Shadow Girl!). An acquired taste to be sure, but a great blast to the past. Steve Reeves was the man in my neighborhood!
