Like many old romantic, drama-type, movies the plot was far-fetched. But still an engaging story. Camera work left a lot to be desired. Some scenes actually made me dizzy and nauseous. But if you are prepared for dancing background from time to time, and sudden action jumps, it will be enjoyable.

Two friends, Onslow Stevens (Don Phillips) and James Bush (Ralph Nelson) are returning from a long stay in the South Pacific when the ship they're on blows up. As we soon find out, when back in the U.S., Stevens was injured and asks Bush to impersonate him because Stevens fears for the future of a girl, Janet Chandler (Sylvia Evans), he has been scheduled to marry since he left home.
