Hurricane at Pilgrim Hill is a 1950 American Western television film produced by Hal Roach Jr. for Magnavox Theatre. The film was directed by Richard L. Observations about stereotypes aside, the banter between "Bigmouth" and the Indians is quite funny. It was interesting to see Billy Gray ("Bud" from the TV show Father Knows Best), playing Bigmouth's grandson Johnny, early in the play. Bigmouth spends most of his time urging his son in law to grow a pair. The son in law musters up the testicular fortitude to stand upon personal principle, and all ends well. A fun movie which moves me to wax generous. 5 stars.

This is a WINNER! I highly recommend it. Well worth watching. An old coot of a cowboy from Prairie Falls out west goes to visit his "yankee" granddaughter in Pilgrim Hill in the North. The two styles of living don't get on together well and he irritates everyone with his big mouth and his meddling ways. He meddles just one step too far and it's actually pretty twisted what he tries to do Mr. Smith. Quick moving, well acted and very entertaining. It's a Hal Roach film, so you know it's going to be fun!

This film was directed by Hal Roach, Jr. Not the Hal Roach (Sr.)that produced Laurel and Hardy and Our Gang. Hal Roach , Jr was more active in television. I believe he had a hand in "Public Defender''., "Racket Squad'', My Little Margie", the William Bendix "Life Of Riley" and Amos N Andy had the credit ''produced through the facilities of Hal Roach Studios"
