Synopsis
Indiscreet is a 1931 American pre-Code comedy film directed by Leo McCarey and starring Gloria Swanson and Ben Lyon. The screenplay by Buddy G. DeSylva, Lew Brown, and Ray Henderson, based on their story Obey That Impulse, originally was written as a full-fledged musical, but only two songs – "If You Haven't Got Love" and "Come to Me" – remained when the film was released. The film is available on DVD.

I had always thought she was a silent starlet but evidently I was wrong. I don't know how her hair got longer and shorter so quickly in this one, but then I'm not a stylist either. She was convincing at times and somewhat phony at others. In the dramatic parts she seemed much better than in the comic parts of the movie. This particular take has some nasty gaps and sound bleeding over from somewhere that just doesn’t match, but it's still an OK flick if you like romance mush. MUSH..bah-humbug..but the movie's still OK even if it's all mush.
