Documentry styles change over the years. There have been many styles popular, from the bleak style of 1970s documentries, to the nerdy style of 1980s documentries, to the cheesy "we've come so far!" style of early 1990s documentries to the "we're so bloody high tech and I'm so excited" style of late 1990s documentries. This style of documentry may seem dated and creepy, but it's aged better than some other styles popular over the years.
