Synopsis
Charles Starrett makes his final appearance as The Durango Kid, this time as Steve Reynolds, a postal inspector who has gone underground to catch the bad guys. His longtime sidekick, Smiley Burnette appears as an itinerant optometrist who is hardly in the plot line of the film. Jock Mahoney plays Jack Mahoney, an eastern educated dude who has come back home. The Durango Kid teaches Jack how to draw and fire a six-gun, and the two ultimately work together to bring the outlaws to justice.

The final entry in the Charles Starrett/Durango Kid films is a fine western played out as a courtroom drama. A good plot with some nice twists, a decent script and fine acting by everyone - including those represented by stock footage from earlier Durango Kid Films. Starrett does it all, outdraws, out fights and out thinks the bad guys. Both Angela Stevens and Helen Mowery (stock footage) are beauties and add a fine sense of cunning to their roles. The only note of humor and a good one, is a musical Smiley Burnette dream sequence. Enjoy.
