Amazing film, one of the best on here, about the many facets of SF. Using silent, home, and sound movies, Rick takes the viewer all over the place in SF. 95% of this footage I've never seen before, and very anxious to see the rest of it. Also, the quality here is amazing. Think there was a lot of care put into this. Well done Rick. This is a MUST SEE this site!

Having grown up in SF I found this fascinating. As a child I rode the ferryboats across the bay. I don't know what year this film was made, but I'd guess early thirties judging by the cars. Most of the downtown buildings are still there.
