That is a partial quote from Humphey Bogart, "It doesn't matter what job you take, a man has got to eat" Mr. Douglas took most any job that came his way. He wasn't fussy about what came down the pike. At this time, roles weren't plentious so, he took any that came. His interests were mostly in Europe. American audiences didn't see him as the romatic lead but Europe still love him. Note, can you try for some early role he did,ie. the story of 3 loves,I walk alone, Out of the Past, etc.
