A stream of consciousness sort of story, likely due to the circumstances surrounding the film's origin. Blue and black hues dominate most of the film, with minimalist animation. Academy Award winner for 1959. During the mid 1970s, I was introduced to this film while attending an animation lecture by the Hubleys themselves. They had secretly recorded an apparently improvised play-time story by their two young sons, who sound less than 5 here.
