And it will be your error if you watch this "C" film. The plot is rather hard to believe and the acting second-rate. Even Bela Lugosi plays a caricature of his usual inscrutable self. Matt McHugh plays an inept loud-mouthed detective. Sally Blane screams through the part of the obligatory attractive love interest. Wallace Ford plays the same impudent, aggressive, more-or-less repulsive character he usually plays. If you can get past all this, the movie does have a surprise ending - most of the murders go unexplained with the mass murderer's death - and a second murderer turns up - guess who?
