Amateur film: Night Rodeo, Gallup, New Mexico (1951)

Sort of dreamlike rodeo scenes here, with the black and white images, dust and what looks like a filtered lens for the light. This was also taken at night AND some of it was in slow motion, so apparently these people weren¡¯t fooling around. Problem is, the rodeo doesn¡¯t look all that interesting, most of the horses seem lame, and the cowboys try in vain to rope some steer with limited success. No wonder they had that clown act at the end of the reel, and even that is curiously bad with the sparking car etc
