Synopsis
Non-Stop New York is a 1937 British science fiction crime film directed by Robert Stevenson and starring John Loder, Anna Lee and Francis L. Sullivan. It was written by J.O.C. Orton, Roland Pertwee, Curt Siodmak and E.V.H. Emmett based on the 1936 novel Sky Steward by Ken Attiwill. A woman who can clear an innocent man of the charge of murder is pursued by gangsters onto a luxurious transatlantic flying boat.

Fast paced adventure crime story with wonderful actors including Anna Lee, John Loder, Frank Cellier (these 3 are in "The Man Who Changed His Mind" too, also a must-see!) and a wonderful Francis L. Sullivan. Desmond Tester (he plays the annoying but likeable young violinist) can also be seen in Hitchcock´s "Sabotage" (maybe some will say, there het gets what he deserves, but I disagree) This film categorized as Sci-Fi? The only reason for that can be the flying boat with outdoor observation decks (!) which never existed. I love it! But this is no Sci-Fi-movie. I don´t care about…

This unknown classic is a must see. It is fast paced in the Hitchcock style and well acted with a lot of droll sequences intertwined between. Anna Lee couldn't be prettier or more charming. The entire cast including the villain Francis Sullivan are great. The British attempt at American slang is slightly noticeable but otherwise the direction is top notch. I just love that luxury aeroplane and wish that it was a reality to the present air traveller to rid him of the monotony of long travel.

You folks are stingy. This was a very enjoyable movie, excellent acting,full of suspence. Plot was pretty good though the plane made it seem like a Si/Fi thriller. 1937 was five years before the conception of the " Spruce Goose " built by Howare Hughes. The Spruce Goose had eight engins and was 219 ft long and was built to carry 750 fully outfitted troops. But even in 1937 they should have realized you couldn't have out door observation decks - and individual state rooms. Really!!! Still, I liked it.

This one's a keeper. Fast-moving, well-acted by a good cast. Anna Lee was a great actress in her younger days as well as her many years on General Hospital. Enjoyable vintage entertainment.
