Synopsis

Bill O'Brien is promoted to lieutenant in the police department for his arrest of Mike Patello, gang leader and racketeer, for murder. Ruth Dale, who loves Bill, is concerned when her brother, Johnny, who witnessed the murder, proposes to testify against the racketeer. Meanwhile, Captain Antrim informs Bill that his father has just been released from prison and does not know his son is a policeman. On the way from prison, O'Brien (J. Being that your reviewer all these years, is also an O'Brien for real, I had to review this film and I was pleasantly surprised by it. 1929 was a busy year for William Boyd at Pathe before they were absorbed into the RKO Company. He made several films this year and they transitioned into sound very well. Most of these films are unknown, but copies of these films are still around for the most part, but hard to come by.
