★★★★ · Proving Absolutely Nothing · Wilford B. Wolf · 2003-05-30
This collection of outtakes and gags from Calvin Workshop is another lost gem. Some of bits are just odd (such as the dancing ameoba), but there are some high class sight gags on the order of Monty Python or Your Show Of Shows. Not as good as the classic Your Name Here Story, but still highly recommended.
★★★★ · Man, those Calvin cats were some crazy kooks! · dan b · 2003-10-07
Another Calvin gem, this one being outtakes from some of their films. There is some real weird scenes here. That bald guy who never says anything is great. The best scene is near the end with the brushcut guy brushing his teeth. Check it out! The people at Calvin had a great sense of humour and didn't mind poking fun at the business they were in. I like to see what they'd produce if they were around today.
★★★ · Comedy With a Capital K · Dodsworth the Cat · 2025-06-04
Sometimes, the Calvin people try too hard to be funny. This is one time. Ernie Kovacs, they're not. There seem to be two outtakes and a bunch of plain old random gags for the sake of being gags. Who was the potential audience for this, anyway? Maybe you just have to be in the right mood for this.
★★★ · What did I just watch? · Tromaguy · 2017-02-15
This outtake/blooper reel is edited together to make a short comedy. I think. The best way to describe this collection of shots is a mashup before the term mashup was in use. It's weird! There are several shots and audio clips that could be repurposed for other projects.
