Panorama of Ocean Beach and Cliff House (1903)

The geography hasn't changed much, tho most of the buildings in the background are no longer there. Today's Cliff House is a mere shadow of its former self. I found the mob scene interesting; apparently the beach attracted bigger crowds than it does now, despite transportation being more difficult in 1903. Notice the men are all dressed in suits, vests and ties, while the ladies have tons of clothes. Even the few bathers, all children, are mostly dressed. Watch the guy who follows the camera around: everybody wants to be on TV. Five stars for historical interest.
