Synopsis

The Terra/MODIS project has released a beautiful set of blue marble imagery. The data is place on a globe and rotated. Note: This is a 24-second full rotation of the Earth using the Blue Marble imagery. Data Collected: 2002/01, 2001/07/29. Animator: Lori Perkins (NASA/GSFC). Scientist: Vincent Salomonson (NASA/GSFC), Reto Stockli (NASA/GSFC). Platforms/Sensors/Data Sets: Terra/MODIS, Terra/MODIS/Blue Marble Cloud Cover.
