The Fred Waring Show - 8 October (1950)

It's hard to watch the minstrel portion of this show if you're sensitive to, or on guard against, racist attitudes. I'm sure Fred meant this as a tribute to the highly entertaining minstrel tradition, and he did it his usual high production values. If you can set aside modern sensibilities for 30 minutes, you can enjoy and appreciate an excellent representation of a traditional minstrel show boosted by a top-notch orchestra and chorus.
