Synopsis
A handsome radio singer has it all--fame, money, adoring fans--but what no one knows is that his accompanist, a hunchbacked piano player, is actually the voice behind the arrogant, abusive "singer"'s fame. The two men fall for the same girl, and when the singer turns up dead, suspicion falls upon his assistant and the girl.

This little film has been floating around for a number of years. Monogram first released it to television in 1949. I have had a copy for a number of years. This is the best sound and picture quality of this film I've ever seen. Very watchable, indeed. Having said all that it's a strange little tale to be sure. If you can forget about all the technical stuff that has came down the road since the early days of radio, you can enjoy this for the over-wrought piece of ham it is. It has some pre-Production Code dialogue to be sure, but otherwise tepid. Ralph Forbes was the darling of Paramount…
