★★★ · Not 'Psycho' but still effective · AmericoMo · 2024-03-25
It's Victor Buono who carries the day as a psycho killer with a doll fixation. His 'mommy dearest' is played well by Ellen Corby in the opposite of Grandma Walton. It's amazing that Buono was only 26 when he did this and 24 for Baby Jane, he was a terrific actor. It's his performance that makes this more than an otherwise forgettable film.
