Barbara is beautiful. Barbara is ALWAYS beautiful, but dang, the woman is just beautiful. Love her gorgeous eyes and pseudo-elegant dancing that turns a bit go-go towards the end. Vaughn looks as bored as he is boring. But when you have to play Barbara's inattentive husband, what're ya gonna do? Stu Whitman looks like he always looks--one of the least likely male stars in the biz. Often sucking a cigarette and barely acting. The original version has a shot of our villain being hit a rock which knocks him with the car over the edge - with the villain substituted with an unconvincing bit of animation.... well, Bing Crosby Productions (the TV Movie's maker) was never noted for its lavish budgets.

Brother! I love Barbara but you know when your co-stars are Larry Storch, Stu Whitman, and Robert Vaugh you've died and gone to bad movie heaven! What a hoot. I loved it. The "surprise" ending, well I guessed it about 10 minutes in. No plot, no dialog, no direction and Charlie Chaplin's playboy son whose best known for a few films in the 50's and 60's and as a Joan Collins toy. He's seen better days. But--if you love Babs you'll sit through anything. Gosh, she's beautiful and not bad when she has script and a director.
